Gameday: U.S. Men's National Team vs. Kazakhstan

USA vs. Kazakhstan -- The Series

The U.S. Men’s National Team faces Kazakhstan in preliminary round play at the 2014 International Ice Hockey Federation Men’s World Championship. Live coverage from NBC Sports Network begins at 9:30 a.m. ET. 

With six points, the U.S. is in a three-way tie for third place in Group B with Finland and Belarus. Russia (12) and Latvia (9) own the top spots. Each team has three games remaining. The top four squads advance to the quarterfinals.

Team USA is 1-1-0-0 (W-OTW-OTL-L) against Kazakhstan in the IIHF Men’s World Championship. Two years ago, Justin Abdelkader had an assist in the 3-2 overtime win. Game-by-game history
