STOCKHOLM -- Team USA takes on Finland today at 4 p.m. (10 a.m. ET) in the bronze medal game of the 2013 IIHF Men's World Championship.
John Gibson gets the call in net today for Team USA. The 19-year-old started his first-ever game in the world championship in the preliminary round of this year's tournament against Finland back on May 8 in Helsinki and made 31 saves in a 4-1 U.S. win. Craig Smith had three goals in the contest. Gibson is third in the tournament with a .952 save percentage and 1.52 goals against average and is 3-1-0. He has started the past two games for the U.S.
Team USA has just one lineup change with Bobby Butler replacing Aaron Palushaj at forward.
The U.S. has won a bronze medal in Stockholm previously -- back in 1949. Team USA's last medal in the world championship came in 2004 when it beat Slovakia, 1-0, in a shootout in the bronze medal game.
NBC Sports Network has the game live in the United States.
