Bid to Own a Piece of USA Hockey History

The USA Hockey-MeiGray Group’s 2006 International Ice Hockey Federation World Men’s Championship Team USA Jersey Auction is underway! 18 jerseys up for bid include jerseys worn by LA Kings captain Dustin Brown, Minnesota Wild defeneman Ryan Suter, Ottawa Senators goaltender Craig Anderson and Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Brooks Orpik. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the USA Hockey Foundation.

There was one set of 18 white jerseys, worn during the 2006 International Ice Hockey Federation World Championship in Riga, Latvia. These jerseys were manufactured by Nike and were barcoded before the tournament. The set of jerseys was collected after each game by Team USA’s equipment staff. Each jersey has been security-tagged with an individually serial-numbered USA Hockey-MeiGray Authentication Program inventory tag.

The auction ends Thursday, May 16 beginning at 9 pm. ET. The five-minute rule applies to each auction.

The USA Hockey Foundation is a charitable and educational nonprofit corporation that provides long-range financial support for USA Hockey and promotes the growth of hockey in the United States. The Foundation's primary goals are to enhance USA Hockey's mission and activities; to provide funding for education and training of high performance athletes; and to provide opportunities for greater participation throughout the country.
