Galchenyuk Added To U.S. Roster

Forward Alex Galchenyuk (Milwaukee, Wis./Montreal Canadiens), who helped the U.S. earn a gold medal at the 2013 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship in Ufa, Russia, and went on to play all 48 regular-season games for the National Hockey League's Montreal Canadiens, has been added to the roster of the 2013 U.S. Men's National Team it was announced today (May 11) by USA Hockey.

Galchenyuk contributed 27 points for Montreal in the regular season, including nine goals. His 18 assists were tied for second among NHL rookies. In addition, he saw action in five playoff games with a goal and two assists to his credit. At the World Juniors, he recorded two goals and six assists in seven games.

Galchenyuk is slated to arrive in Helsinki late Sunday (May 12) morning. He will wear #32.
