Referee Tim Meyer (Okemos, Mich.), and linesmen Jud Ritter (Bethlehem, Pa.) and Fraser McIntyre (Amherst, N.Y.) have been selected to serve as officials for the the 2016 IIHF Men's World Championship, USA Hockey announced today. The event takes place May 6-22 in Moscow and St. Petersberg, Russia.

McIntyre is serving in his third IIHF Men's World Championship, while Mayer is participating in his second tournament. Ritter will be making his debut at this particular event.

“We're pleased that these three individuals have been selected to officiate at this event and represent USA Hockey on the international stage,” said Matt Leaf, director of USA Hockey’s officiating education program. “They have earned this opportunity to join the group of officials who are already working at the highest level this season.”

These assignments are in addition to the 22 officials who were previously tabbed for roles at major International Ice Hockey Federation events in 2015-16. A list of American officials and their respective events this season is available here.
