Trouba Departs U.S. Men's National Team

MINSK, Belarus -- Defenseman Jacob Trouba (Rochester, Mich./Univ. of Michigan/Winnipeg Jets) of the U.S. Men's National Team has returned home for precautionary reasons. He will not return to the 2014 International Ice Hockey Federation Men's World Championship.

In four games, Trouba contributed two goals and an assist while averaging more than 23 minutes of ice time per game.

Team USA is 2-1-0-2 (W-OTW-OTL-L) with two games remaining in the preliminary round. Next on the schedule is Finland tomorrow (May 18). Game time is 9:45 a.m. ET with live television coverage to be provided by NBC Sports Network.
