Three U.S. Officials to Work 2014 IIHF Men's World Championship

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Three U.S. officials have been selected by the International Ice Hockey Federation to work the 2014 IIHF Men's World Championship in Minsk, Belarus, May 9-25.

The list includes referees Keith Kaval (Erie, Pa.) and Steve Patafie (Bethlehem, Ga.); and linesman Paul Carnathan (Lilburn, Ga.). Kaval is making his fifth IIHF World Championship appearance, having previously served as an official in both the 2012 and 2013 IIHF Men's World Championships as well as the 2010 and 2011 IIHF World Junior Championships. Patafie has previously worked three international events, including the 2013 IIHF World Junior Championship, 2012 IIHF Men's World Championship and 2013 Spengler Cup. Carnathan was an official at four previous international tournaments, including the 2013 Olympic Winter Games Men's Qualification Tournament, the 2012 IIHF Men's Division IA World Championship, the 2011 IIHF Men's World Championship and the 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship.
